Surabaya, E Java Surabaya city will receive 600 vials of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine from the Ministry of Health, the Health Office informed here on Saturday.
Head of the Surabaya Health Office, Nanik Sukristina, said that earlier, Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi had sent a letter to the Ministry of Health regarding vaccine supply.
“Then, the circular of the Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control from the Ministry of Health was issued on March 1, 2022. In the circular, it was stated that Surabaya city would receive an allocation of Moderna vaccines, with a total of 600 vials,” she informed.
Sukristina assured that Surabaya currently has sufficient vaccine stocks for administering booster vaccinations.
According to her, booster vaccinations in Surabaya are currently being run using the existing stock of Pfizer vaccines.
She said that the vaccine allocation was renewed on March 4, 2022, and the Surabaya Health Office is waiting for the vaccines to arrive.
