Suriya Juangroongruangkit Declines to Comment on Excitement as Acting Prime Minister

Bangkok: “Suriya” smiled as he welcomed the media on his first day acting as Prime Minister, presiding over the 93rd anniversary of the Prime Minister’s Office, but declined to answer whether he was excited or not.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, who serves as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, took on the role of Acting Prime Minister and was seen walking down from the Thai Khu Fah Building with a smile. He refused to respond to questions from the press about his level of excitement on assuming this temporary role.

Mr. Suriya’s first official duty as Acting Prime Minister was presiding over a ceremony marking the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Office of the Prime Minister. The event took place at the Santi Maitri Building, Government House, marking the beginning of his responsibilities in this new capacity.
