Surin: Thai and Cambodian army commanders convened for talks aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict at Chong Bok, where military forces from both nations remain in a standoff over disputed claims.
According to Thai News Agency, General Pana Klaewplodthuk, the Thai Army Commander, along with his entourage, traveled to Chong Chom in Kap Choeng District, Surin Province. There, they met with General Mao Sophan, the Cambodian Army Commander, at 3:00 p.m. to discuss potential solutions following the recent clashes between Thai and Cambodian soldiers at Chong Bok, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The conflict occurred at 5:45 a.m. the previous day.
Thai and Cambodian soldiers continue to maintain their positions outside the clash line. During the negotiations, both countries plan to utilize aerial photographs to determine whether the area where Cambodian soldiers have dug is within the overlapping claims, which extends close to the Thai border.
