Thai Army Rehearses for Royal Guards Parade and Oath-Taking Ceremony.


Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army organized a rehearsal for the parade and oath-taking ceremony of the Royal Guards in celebration of His Majesty the King’s 6th cycle birthday anniversary on 28 July 2024. This event, named “Rajawallap Thetthai Chom Raja 72 Years of Great Auspiciousness,” was led by Maj. Gen. Witai Laithomya, spokesman of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters. The rehearsal took place at the 11th Royal Guards Regiment in Bang Khen District, Bangkok, with the aim of ensuring readiness and perfection in the ceremony to honor His Majesty the King as the Commander-in-Chief of the Thai Armed Forces.

According to Thai News Agency, His Majesty the King serves as the Head of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and has consistently performed royal duties to alleviate suffering and promote happiness among the people. This auspicious royal ceremony will see all Royal Guards resonating and swearing an oath in front of His Majesty to express their loyalty and demonstrate the unity of all military branches.

On this
occasion, General Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana will lead the parade of the Royal Guards and the Royal Guards of the three armed forces as ‘Commander of the Mixed Forces.’ Additionally, General Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya will participate by leading the cavalry battalion as ‘Commander of the Royal Cavalry Battalion.’

The parade and oath-taking ceremony will feature personnel from various units, including the Royal Guards Regiment, Royal Guards Headquarters, Royal Security Command, Royal Guard Cadet Regiment, Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, Royal Naval Cadet Regiment, Naval Academy, Royal Air Force Cadet Regiment, Royal Air Force Academy, 1st Infantry Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, Royal Guards, 3rd Air Force Battalion, Royal Air Force Regiment, Air Force Command, 25th Cavalry Battalion, 4th Cavalry Regiment, Royal Guards, 2nd Infantry Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, Royal Guards, 102nd Artillery Battalion, 2nd Artillery Regiment, Royal Guar
ds, 1st Infantry Battalion, Royal Guards, and Marine Division, Marine Corps Command, Royal Guard Cavalry Battalion.

The Royal Thai Army invites the public to watch the live broadcast of the parade and oath-taking ceremony of the Royal Guards on this auspicious occasion. The event will be held at the Royal Plaza, Dusit Palace, Bangkok, on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, starting from 4:00 p.m. onwards on the Royal Television Group of Thailand.
