Bangkok: Bew Phuriphon and Ben Subenrat, two Thai national track and field athletes, have departed for Japan to participate in the World Athletics Championships 2025. They expressed confidence in their physical readiness and are hopeful of delivering strong performances.
According to Thai News Agency, “Biew” Phuriphon Bunson and “Ben” Subenrat Insaeng were selected by World Athletics to compete in Tokyo. They left Suvarnabhumi Airport aboard Thai Airways flight TG660 at 1:00 p.m. Phuriphon is set to compete in the men’s 100-meter dash, while Subenrat will participate in the women’s discus throw.
Before departing, Phuriphon remarked on his excellent physical condition, free from injuries, and expressed his ambition to set a personal best, with an eye on winning a gold medal at the SEA Games. Subenrat shared similar sentiments about his readiness to compete and his determination to secure his eighth gold medal at the SEA Games.
The World Athletics Championships 2025 is scheduled to take place from 13-21 September in Tokyo, Japan.
