Thai Para Table Tennis Confident of Winning Gold at the 2024 Paralympic Games


The Thai Para table tennis team is confident of winning the gold medal at the 2024 Paralympics after training in France for 2 weeks before the competition.

Movement of the Paralympic Games in Paris, France, between 28 August – 8 September. This is the first time that 69 out of 79 Thai Para athletes have gone to a 2-week training camp in France before entering the athletes’ village in Paris on 21 August.

The latest readiness of the Thai Para table tennis team, training in the city of Bourgoin-Gallieu, France. “Rung” Rungroj Thainiyom, a Class 6 Thai national Para table tennis athlete and winner of the Paralympic gold medal in London, England in 2012, said that he is now in the process of studying his opponents and covering his own weaknesses according to the coach’s plan. He believes that he will perform well in this Paralympic Games with the goal of winning the gold medal.

For Thai Paralympic athletes, they trained in Bourgoin-Gallieu in 8 sports: swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, athletic
s, wheelchair fencing, wheelchair tennis and wheelchair racing.
