Thai people’s financial happiness survey results for September 2024 increased by 52.8% due to economic recovery.


The survey results of “Financial Happiness in Thai People’s Lives” in September 2024 revealed that happiness increased by 52.8% in line with the economic recovery, supporting better liquidity, and easing political unrest and reducing social conflicts.

Dr. Sanit Sirivisitkul, Head of the North Bangkok Poll, North Bangkok University, revealed that from the public opinion survey on October 1, 2024, with 1,500 surveyors from all over the region, regarding the topic of “Comparing financial happiness and lifestyle in September 2024”

The survey asked about “happiness in financial status of life, which takes into account income, expenses and debts”. The surveyed people were 52.8% happier, divided into 26.1% who were much happier and 26.7% who were somewhat happier. In addition, 17.4% of the surveyed people were still happy, 17.5% who were less happy and 12.3% who were much happier.

Dr. Sanit asked further about the “happiness in life of the surveyors” and concluded that the people were 63.8% happier, divided into
23.4% who were much happier, 40.4% who were somewhat happier, 16.4% who were almost as happy as before, 14.7% who were less happy, and 5.1% who were much less happy.

Therefore, it can be concluded that the majority of Thai people by September 2024 are clearly happier in their lives and have a better financial status. As a result of the overall economic recovery in Thailand, income and quality of life have improved. At the same time, political unrest has clearly decreased. In addition, the prices of various goods, especially agricultural products, are still reasonable. In addition, social conflicts have also been resolved well, resulting in a significant positive outcome for the people’s lives. In the long term, it is still believed that the happiness in life and the financial status of the Thai people will gradually recover.
