According to Thai News Agency, the Burapha Force, Khlong Hat Task Force, by the 13th Ranger Regiment Control Unit, Special Forces Company 1302, patrolled sensitive areas to prevent illegal border crossings by foreign workers. Co. Thapthim Siam 05, Village No. 10, Khlong Kai Thuen Subdistrict, Khlong Hat District, Sa Kaeo Province, arrested 15 Cambodians and 5 followers who illegally entered the Kingdom of Thailand.
Searching for documents for entry and exit into the Kingdom, which were not correct. Initially, the Cambodian workers confessed that they traveled from Banteay Meanchey Province and would go to work in the inner areas of Thailand, paying a travel fee of 6,000 baht per person. Everyone said that they entered illegally because they wanted to find work. In Cambodia, it was difficult to make a living and the income was not enough to support themselves.
After a preliminary investigation, military officials took all 20 people into custody and sent them to the Khlong Hat Police Station for questioning and further charges.
