Thai Soldiers Bomb Chong Khan Ma Staircase, Blocking Access to Phu Makhuea

Sisaket: Revealing photos have surfaced showing Thai soldiers bombing the Chong Khan Ma staircase in Sisaket Province, effectively blocking the route to Phu Makhuea. The destruction occurred during clashes between Thai and Cambodian soldiers from July 24 to 28.

According to Thai News Agency, the conflict saw Thai forces seize the Phu Makhuea area, successfully pushing back Cambodian soldiers from the cliff face. The military operation included the destruction of a cable car and a Cambodian military base located below Phu Makhuea. Drones equipped with explosives were utilized in these operations. Images recently released depict the soldiers’ actions in destroying the Chong Khan Ma staircase as part of the effort to reclaim the area amidst the five days of clashes.
