Thai Stocks Decline Amid Market Fluctuations

Bangkok: Thai stocks closed down 1.19 points today as the Stock Exchange of Thailand concluded trading at 1,135.24 points, marking a slight decrease of 0.10%. The trading value was reported at 24,061.72 million baht.

According to Thai News Agency, market analysts noted that the Thai stock market experienced fluctuations within a narrow range, characterized by low trading volume. Factors influencing the market include ongoing US-China trade negotiations and domestic political issues. Of particular interest is the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division hearing scheduled on June 13 concerning Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, who is receiving treatment at the Police General Hospital.

Analysts also highlighted concerns regarding the performance trend of listed companies, which is expected to weaken in the second quarter of 2024. Looking ahead, the market is anticipated to continue its fluctuating trend, with a support level at 1,120 points and resistance at 1,155 points.
