Bangkok: The Thai women’s volleyball team returns to Thailand and continues their fight at the second field in Hong Kong. The team is set to continue their journey in the Volleyball Nations League, where they will face Japan on June 18.
According to Thai News Agency, the 18-member national team arrived back in Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport after competing in the first week of the 2025 Women’s Volleyball Nations League in Beijing, China. The team secured 1 win and faced 3 losses, earning 3 points and ranking 15th in the standings. Their world ranking stands at 14th. Their return was met with a warm reception from Mr. Somporn Usibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand.
“Coach Oat” Kiattipong Rachata-kriangkrai, the head coach, stated that all players have recovered physically and have no injuries of concern. The athletes have entered a training camp at the Sports Authority of Thailand to strategize for the upcoming matches in the second week.
Dolporn Sinpho, also known as “Uefa,” commented on the upcoming game against Japan, a team that secured 4 consecutive wins in the first field. She emphasized the need for the Thai team to thoroughly prepare due to the strong system of the Japanese team.
