ThaiBev Sponsors Women’s Volleyball Match Celebrating Thai-Chinese Diplomatic Anniversary

Bangkok: Thai Beverage Public Company Limited sponsored a special women’s volleyball match between the People’s Republic of China and the Thai national team to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China. Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, along with Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, Mr. Yang Xiaolong, Cultural Counselor, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand, and executives led by Mrs. Tarnthip Sirinupong, Ms. Nandika Nilvoraskul, Mrs. Pawinee Chaisit, and Mr. Patrick Horattanachai, attended the event at Indoor Stadium Huamark.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thapan stated that ThaiBev is delighted to be a part of organizing this special women’s volleyball match to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations, a long-standing relationship fostered through economic, trade, arts, and culture exchanges, as well as sports. ThaiBev has supported volleyball for over 30 years to promote and nurture Thai athletes to their potential and compete on the international stage, as well as to instill the concept of “Sportsmanship,” defined as “more than sports, but also sportsmanship,” in Thai athletes and youth.

Following today’s special match, athletes from both countries are scheduled to compete in the FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship, the first in the history of Thai volleyball, hosted by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). The match will take place from August 22nd to September 7th. ThaiBev invites everyone to join in cheering on athletes from both countries in this competition.
