Aranyaprathet: For humanity! Thailand opens a special border crossing to help a high-ranking Cambodian military officer who is in an emergency and is being treated at a hospital in Aranyaprathet District.

According to Thai News Agency, the Thai-Cambodian border situation remains tense, and the permanent border crossing at Ban Klong Luek, Aranyaprathet District, has created an impressive image when Thai security agencies jointly decided to open the border as a special case to provide humanitarian assistance to a high-ranking Cambodian military officer. Thai officials from all relevant agencies jointly facilitated the Thai-Cambodian Friendship Bridge to transport him to the Kasemrad International Hospital Aranyaprathet, Aranyaprathet District, for timely treatment.

Currently, the Khlong Luek checkpoint remains closed due to unresolved border issues. However, this action reflects that humanitarian principles and good relations are above all conflicts and also demonstrates the close friendship between the officers of both countries.
