Bangkok: Thailand is set to submit a crucial trade proposal to the United States tonight, as preparations intensify ahead of scheduled negotiations. Dr. Suphawit Saicheua, a policy advisor to the Prime Minister and a member of the working group on US trade policy, outlined the ongoing efforts in the trade discussions between Thailand and the United States.
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Suphawit indicated that the proposal, which includes additional details developed by the working group, will be submitted during US business hours. This submission is a precursor to the upcoming negotiations, where Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira, will lead the Thai delegation to the United States. The United States Trade Representative has arranged a formal face-to-face negotiation session for both parties next week, marking a significant step in the trade dialogue.
