The Chamber of Commerce reiterates that the green economy will support Thailand’s growth, while Deputy Prime Minister Pichai is ready to support the private sector in all dimensions.

Mr. Pichai Naripthaphan, Minister of Commerce, said during the ‘2024 Thai Chamber of Commerce Seminar’ under the concept of ‘Connect Competitive Sustainable’ that the Ministry of Commerce has 10 policies to align with the urgent policies of the government under the leadership of Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, consisting of 1) Reduce expenses, increase income, expand opportunities by focusing on reducing people’s cost of living, increasing income through career creation, and accelerating the expansion of opportunities by introducing innovative technologies. 2) Manage to create a balance between farmers, entrepreneurs, and consumers.

3) Proactively work between provincial commerce and commercial diplomats to maximize efficiency in selling Thai products abroad. 4) Amend and improve outdated laws, with the government focusing on reg
ulatory guillotines, reducing old laws that are obstacles to doing business, and solving new problems, especially those related to controlling online products. 5) Jointly drive policies to stimulate the grassroots economy, with one of the government’s successes being improving the status of grassroots people, while entrepreneurs and people with high purchasing power can grow together.

6) Push for more export growth. In the first 7 months of 2024, Thai exports grew by an average of 3.8% and it is believed that in the future, they will grow even more. 7) Accelerate negotiations and promote the utilization of FTAs. 8) Take Thai businessmen abroad. The Ministry of Commerce is responsible for supporting Thai entrepreneurs to be able to open new markets. 9) Modernize export structures to find new S Curves.
