The husband of the tea shop owner shot and killed a customer because he was suspicious of him flirting with his wife.

Songkhla, The husband of a tea shop owner, who was hallucinating from drugs, was jealous and worried that a customer was flirting with his wife. He grabbed a gun and shot the customer dead before running into the forest behind the house and disappearing. The police are urgently searching for and arresting him.

This incident happened last night inside a tea shop in the middle of a village in Tambon Klong Pia, Amphoe Chana, Songkhla Province. Khuan Mit Police Station officers went to inspect the scene and found one injured person, Mr. Sawai Nee, 50 years old, or Nee, a local resident who was shot in the back with a homemade shotgun. Villagers rushed him to Chana Hospital, where he later died. The perpetrator was Mr. Wiraphon, 38 years old, or Kung, the husband of the owner of the tea shop. After the incident, he ran away to the back of the house, which was a dense forest connected to a hillside that was mostly rubber plantations, and took the gun used in the incident with him.

Initial investigations revealed
that at the time of the incident, there were about 2-3 customers sitting and drinking tea at the shop, including Mr. Sawainee, the deceased. He usually came to drink tea at this shop regularly. However, it turned out that Mr. Wiraphon, who was in the house, suddenly used a homemade shotgun to shoot out of the window in front of the shop. The bullets hit Mr. Sawainee in the middle of the back, with about 5-6 holes. Because the bullet head was a shotgun, he was injured. Villagers rushed Mr. Sawainee to the hospital, where he died.

The cause is believed to be drug hallucinations, as Mr. Wiraphon was previously arrested for drug use and had been to rehab 2-3 times, but had not quit. Recently, he began to show signs of paranoia, fearing that people who came to drink tea at his shop would interfere with his wife, who was a tea vendor. He once threatened to shoot him, but none of the regular customers paid any attention because they thought he was just joking and talking nonstop. They did not think he would actuall
y do it.

Mr. Kozali, 45, the younger brother of the deceased, said that his brother often went to drink tea at this shop almost every day. His house and the tea shop were 200 meters apart. He had previously heard that the owner’s husband was suspicious and jealous of his customers. He once dared to shoot them, but no one expected this to happen.

After the incident, the police are in the process of tracking down the perpetrator and inviting his wife and witnesses for questioning. They are also coordinating with his relatives to turn themselves in. They have also notified everyone in the village to be on the lookout because the perpetrator is still carrying a gun.
