The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has extended the registration period for disabled persons until December 3, 2024, to maintain the right to receive 10,000 baht.

“Varawut”, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, revealed good news. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has extended the registration period for disabled people to 3 Dec. 2024, maintaining the right to receive 10,000 baht.

Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), revealed that the cabinet resolution on September 17, 2024, approving the money to be given to the first group of vulnerable people, 10,000 baht per person, is important and welcome. I would like to inform all disabled people nationwide that today the government has extended the registration period for all disabled people nationwide until December 3, 2024, in order to receive the right to receive 10,000 baht. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), through the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEP), would like to inform people nationwide, especially vulnerable groups or those with disabled family members, to hurry up and register
and issue a disabled ID card in order to maintain their right to receive 10,000 baht.

At present, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has collaborated with the Ministry of Public Health to register for disabled people’s ID cards to be more convenient and faster. Disabled people can go to the regional hospitals in every province nationwide to register for disabled people’s ID cards as a one-stop service. As for some provinces that have not been able to do this yet, please hurry up and register. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security’s officers will urgently coordinate to issue disabled people’s ID cards to all disabled people to maintain their rights to receive 10,000 baht.

Mr. Varawut added that the registration of disabled persons’ ID cards and, importantly, the transfer of 10,000 baht to every disabled person, he has emphasized to the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and all agencies that they must operate with transparency and ensure that the 10,000 baht
reaches the hands of the disabled without any corruption. If the public sees anything unusual or inappropriate, please report it to the Center for Accelerated Public Welfare Management (CWMS) via the hotline of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security 1300, and we will expedite the process and ensure that this project truly reaches the hands of every disabled person.
