After the incident, a survey of the surrounding area found that one motorcycle was damaged. A female survivor said that the village headman on the other side of the road pushed her out of the dirt and survived. However, the village headman was buried under the mud and swept away into the mud.

Phra Khru Prichaphiwat, the abbot of Wat Thung Luang, Thung Luang Subdistrict, Phrao District, Chiang Mai Province, continues to provide assistance to villagers in Mae Ai District who have been affected by the floods, especially at Ban Wang Phai, Tha Ton Subdistrict, where the water level is still high and 130 people are still trapped in their homes. Some people have climbed up to their houses on the roofs to wait for help. The abbot led the Phrao Wang Hin rescue team, along with the Mae Ai District Administration, the Wiang Malika rescue team, the Subdis
trict Administrative Organization, and the local municipality to distribute food and drinking water to 130 monks and villagers of Wang Phai to alleviate their initial suffering.
