The Ping River surged more than 5 meters high, flooding Chiang Mai.

The floodwaters in Chiang Mai Province are still rising and spreading to many communities. Commercial areas are submerged, with floodwaters in some areas reaching nearly 2 meters after the Ping River rose more than 5 meters, the highest level ever measured. This has caused severe impacts to local residents who, after only a week of flooding, now have to deal with even more flooding.
