The Treasury Department recommends that vulnerable groups and people with disabilities urgently update their information.

The Treasury Department recommends vulnerable groups and the disabled to urgently update their data, admitting that 50,000 transfers were unsuccessful, their accounts were not linked to PromptPay, their accounts were closed, and their account numbers were incorrect.

Mr. Pornchai Thiravet, Director of the Fiscal Policy Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, revealed that Wednesday, September 25, 2024, which is the first day of the money transfer under the economic stimulus project for 2024, through state welfare cardholders and disabled persons, the Comptroller General’s Department has transferred money under the project to the target groups as follows: On September 25, 2024, payments were made to 2.04 million disabled persons out of a total of 2.15 million disabled persons who are the target group of the project. It is admitted that 90,000 persons have not yet received the payment due to reasons such as expired disabled person ID cards, incomplete disabled person ID card information, etc. It is
recommended that the disabled person ID card renewal, disabled person ID card is made, or disabled person ID information is corrected at the disabled person service center nationwide by October 10, 2024, in order to receive the payment again by October 22, 2024.

For the money transfer on September 25, 2024 to the target group of 3.17 million people, the money transfer was unsuccessful in 49,383 cases, or 1.56 percent. The reasons for the unsuccessful money transfer were as follows:

Those with state welfare cards, such as those who have not linked their PromptPay account with their national ID number, have inactive accounts, have closed bank accounts, or have incorrect bank account numbers, etc.

Disabled persons, such as bank accounts being closed, bank account numbers being incorrect, etc.

Therefore, please link your PromptPay account with your national ID number as soon as possible or contact your bank to fix the bank account that has the above problems.
