The 2024 World Amateur Muay Thai Championship “IFMA Youth World Championships 2024” at Siam Paragon has entered its second day of competition, still packed with 161 exciting boxing matches in the first and second rounds. 48kg Male, Age 14-15, First Round (32-man Group) Thitiphan Khamrae, Muay Thai nickname “Namo Phdungchai Muay Thai Gym”, won by walkover over Roman Sodhi from Canada, advancing to the round of 16 to meet Byambatsot M’Yagmar from Mongolia on September 15.

57kg Men’s 16-17 years old, first round (32-man group), Songkran Konthap, nicknamed Muay Thai “Tawan Dueat Nakhon Sawan Sports School”, narrowly defeated Davide Mome
nico Jesuito from Italy 29-28, advancing to the round of 16 to meet Jacob Ordonez from Canada on September 15.

34 kg category, male, age 10-11 years, first round, Tatikorn Traiwet Kraisorn, nicknamed Muay Thai “Sam Sing, Ban Pho Sports Center”, lost on points to Harun Ben Chalkh from Lebanon with a score of 27-30, and was eliminated in the first round.

45kg category, men, age 16-17 years, first round, Baramee Suwansa-ard, nicknamed Muay Thai “Khamni Suanjak Cafe”, lost by a narrow score to Beksodbek Mashrabov from Uzbekistan with a score of 29-28, also being eliminated in the first round.

51kg Female 16-17 years old, first round, Laksika Kanjana, nicknamed Muay Thai “Petch Siam Surat Gym”, defeated Ariadny Maria Andrel from Georgia by a score of 30-27, advancing to the last 8 to meet Milana Shihshabekova from Kyrgyzstan on September 16.

30kg Men’s 10-11 years old, first round, Patcharawat Wiangwises, nicknamed Muay Thai “Petchkafiws, Expressway Bear”, chased and won on points against Olgreed Pelovsky from
Poland 30-27, advancing to the last 8 to meet Donat Ostryoko from Estonia on September 15.

51kg Male 14-15 years old, first round (32 people), Apidet Kanjana, nicknamed Muay Thai “Aphidet Surat Gym”, defeated RSC Nazar Denhab, a boxer from Ukraine, to advance to the round of 16 to meet Aiden Eclipse from the Philippines on September 15.

54kg Men’s 16-17 years old, Round 16, Wiwitwin Lentamee, nicknamed Muay Thai “Fino Chor. Ketwina”, defeated Mark Jeremy Balmoris from the Philippines with a score of 29-28, successfully advancing to the last 8.

Finally, in the 45kg female division, age 16-17, in the first round, Nirascha Tangjiu, a female boxer nicknamed Muay Thai ‘Sanae Ngam Kamnan Chet Mueang Chon’ who has won the World Youth Championship 3 times before, showed her worth by beating Trung Nguyen Thien from Vietnam with a score of 30-27, advancing to the last 8 to meet Maftuna Khussanova from Uzbekistan on 16 September.

th his daughter Lilian Lipov, a female boxer from the United States, as well as their families who traveled with them to join the 2024 IFMA Youth World Championships in Thailand, were very impressed and praised Thailand’s readiness to host the competition in an excellent way.

Benjamin Lipov stated that this was his first time participating in the World Youth Muay Thai Championships, which he felt was amazing and unbelievable that the organizers had organized the competition at a top level, which left a great impression and made him feel very excited. In terms of preparations, whether it was the competition venue, communications, or various facilitation systems, everyone was impressed.

The USA Muay Thai coaching staff added, ‘We have been to Thailand since July and have been to various parts of Bangkok and I think it is a great place to visit. We have been to the Grand Palace and the beautiful Chao Phraya River and many other places. We may need to spend more time visiting more places. I also love the noodles and my daughter loves Thai fruits.’
