Three Jakarta-owned enterprises (BUMDs) signed cooperation agreements with foreign investors at the Jakarta Investment Forum (JIF) 2022 here on Thursday.
“There are some still in the process, some have already (signed) the MoU (memorandum of understanding), some have been signed,” Head of the Jakarta Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP), Benni Aguscandra, informed at the JIF event.
The event held on September 1, 2022, sought to promote and showcase business opportunities in the Indonesian capital Jakarta by inviting policymakers, private sector players, business leaders, and experts.
One of the three BUMDs that inked cooperation agreements was PT MRT Jakarta, which signed a proof of proposal letter for its Phase IV project—which involves the construction of the Fatmawati-Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) MRT Line—with three investors from South Korea.
The three investors were Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation (KIND), Korea National Railway, and Samsung C and T.
Meanwhile, city-owned wastewater processing firm PAL Jaya signed a letter of intent for wastewater management with an investor based in France, Service public de l’assainissement francilien (SIAAP).
Jakarta-owned property and infrastructure firm PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) signed a letter of intent for cooperation on waste management and facilities with French-based investor Syctom.
Aguscandra said that the 15 projects offered by seven Jakarta BUMDs to investors at the event had an estimated value of Rp180 trillion.
The 15 projects included the Sunter Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF), LRT (Light Rapid Transit) Jakarta Phase 2A (Kelapa Gading-Jakarta International Stadium), and LRT Jakarta Phase 3A (Jakarta International Stadium-Rajawali).
They also covered the development of Jakarta MRT Phase III (east-west line), MRT Phase IV (Fatmawati-TMII line), South Jakarta Mix-Used Development, TransJakarta electric bus, battery charging station, Seribu Island-Eco Resort and Eco Theme Park, and medical tourism for the elderly.
They further comprised Landmark Jakarta, urban redevelopment project Sentra Primer Tanah Abang, rooftop solar power plant, hazardous and toxic waste (B3) management plant, and Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) Masterplan Inc Plot 4 Project.
