Bangkok: Ms. Chalida Phalamatt, president of the Pen One Foundation, has submitted additional evidence related to the victims involved in The Icon Group case, as more than 2,000 individuals have come forward with complaints. The victims, including both Thai and foreign nationals, have expressed concerns about the progress of the investigation and the return of their assets.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Chalida was contacted by the Consumer Protection Police Division to provide further documentation, including money transfer slips and chat messages, from approximately 10 victims who initially filed complaints on October 10. Efforts are underway to collect additional complaints from Cambodian victims. Despite the mounting worries from the victims regarding the suspect’s prosecution, due to the lack of progress in related cases, Ms. Chalida reassured them about the comprehensive and meticulous nature of the police’s investigative process.

ng that the individual is not among those who have suffered asset losses and has not demanded money from the victims. She also responded to a statement by Pol. Lt. Col. Charoonkiat Pankaew, deputy commander of the Central Investigation Bureau, urging petitioners to verify information before filing complaints. Ms. Chalida acknowledged the complexity of the case and the importance of ensuring clear evidence to avoid future repercussions. She emphasized the need for a careful police investigation, particularly in cases where individuals, like Mr. Ekkapop Lueangprasert, may have acted with good intentions to assist victims, despite potential misinformation or lack of procedural awareness.
