We will add at least 60 buses, and we will monitor how the situation is

“We provide easy mobility for people, especially those who want to attend Christmas Eve worship safely and comfortably,” TransJakarta corporate secretary Anang Rizkani Noor informed here on Saturday.
According to him, the free shuttle served routes that passed churches to ensure better mobility for worshippers.
The free service was made available for the public from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. local time on Saturday.
The routes for the free shuttle on Christmas Eve are:
1. Gereja Katedral (Jakarta Cathedral) – Monas (National Monument);
2. GPIB Immanuel – Monas;
3. GPIB Paulus – Tosari;
4. Gereja Santo Ignatius Loyola – Tosari;
5. GKI Menteng – Tosari;

Earlier, TransJakarta management said that it would increase the number of buses on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
TransJakarta’s director of operations and safety, Yoga Adiwinarto, said that his party planned to add around 60 buses to serve some potentially crowded locations during Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
“We will add at least 60 buses, and we will monitor how the situation is,” Adiwinarto informed on December 21, 2022.
He said that TransJakarta will deploy the additional buses at several points that are likely to be crowded such as Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) theme park, Bundaran HI, Ragunan, and Ancol.
“We already have special (bus) operations for Christmas, New Year, and other religious holidays,” he added.
The additional buses will support TransJakarta buses that operate regularly on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
“There are around 70–80 buses that operate in the evenings,” he informed.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta Transportation Office said that TransJakarta will operate buses for 24 hours on New Year’s Eve. The routes will be adjusted to the situation on the ground during the implementation of the car-free night on Sudirman and MH Thamrin boulevards.
