Treasury reveals 2 million people have not verified their identities using government apps

The Ministry of Finance revealed that 2 million people registered for digital money via the government app. Don’t forget to verify your identity. Recommends that welfare card groups link with PromptPay.

Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance, said that currently, there are people who have invested in the digital wallet project through the government app in the last stretch during the deadline of September 15, but the process has not been completed yet. Therefore, he would like the 2 million registered people to complete their identity verification to support welfare care for 36.4 million people, following the vulnerable group.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance also recommends that vulnerable groups who have not yet linked their PromptPay to their savings accounts contact their bank accounts before September 24, 2024, to receive the money transfer as scheduled. Starting from September 25-30, 2024, there are currently 12.4 million welfare cardholders who have linked their accounts with Promp
tPay, 11 million of whom have been linked to PromptPay. This is to check whether their bank accounts linked with PromptPay and their national ID numbers are still usable. If they have not yet linked PromptPay, please link PromptPay with their national ID numbers. For disabled people who do not have a disabled ID card or whose disabled ID cards have expired, please apply for a card or renew it by December 3, 2024, to receive the rights under the project.

For the main channel to check the rights and results of receiving money in the project, you can check the rights from 24 September 2024 onwards.
