Typhoon ‘Kratoon’ made landfall in Taiwan this morning.

The Meteorological Department revealed that Typhoon ” Kratoon ” is about to make landfall in southern Taiwan this morning. Thailand must also watch out for heavy rain for another day as the monsoon trough moves down to cover the central, eastern and lower northeastern regions, along with a test wind pattern at a lower level in the western part of the northern and central regions.

Mr. Somkuan Tonjan, Director of the Weather Forecast Division, Meteorological Department, said that Typhoon “Kratoon” is about to make landfall in southern Taiwan this morning (October 3, 2024) without affecting weather conditions in Thailand.

For continuous rain with thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas during this period, it is caused by a moderate cold air mass that has spread down to cover the North and upper Northeastern regions. The monsoon trough has moved down to cover the Central, Eastern and Lower Northeastern regions. In addition, there is a wind direction at a lower level on the western side of the North and Centr
al regions. This has caused the western side of the North and Central regions to continue to have rain clouds covering them throughout the night. Today, we still have to watch out for rain for another day. The weather is unstable, with rain and thunderstorms covering the western part of the North, the Central region, including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the Eastern region.

From tomorrow, the weather in the eastern and upper northeastern regions will start to get colder, so please take care of your health during the changing weather.

From 4-10 October 2024, the upper part of Thailand will experience less rain, while the southern region will experience more rain and some areas will experience heavy rain, especially in the southern region of the Gulf of Thailand. The waves will be stronger in areas with thunderstorms.
