Typhoon Trami Makes Landfall in Central Vietnam, Bringing Heavy Rain and Strong Winds


Thua thien-hue: Typhoon Trami, the sixth typhoon to impact the East Sea this year, made landfall in central Vietnam, specifically affecting the localities of Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam. The storm arrived at approximately 1 p.m. on October 27, unleashing heavy rainfall and strong winds across the region.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reported that the maximum wind speed near the center of Typhoon Trami reached level 8, which translates to 62-74 kilometers per hour. Additionally, gusts were recorded reaching up to level 10, indicating even stronger bursts of wind. Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation, as residents in the affected areas brace for potential impacts from the severe weather conditions brought by the typhoon.
