Min buri: “Uncle Pom” closed his residence to make merit on his 80th birthday.
According to Thai News Agency, General Prawit Wongsuwan, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, marked his 80th birthday by closing his private residence in Min Buri for a merit-making ceremony. The event, held on August 11, 2025, included a Buddhist chanting ceremony and alms-giving to monks. Despite being a personal occasion, the ceremony had a joyful atmosphere.
General Prawit, dressed in a green jacket, warmly welcomed attendees, including party members, MPs, and former high-ranking officials. Noteworthy attendees included General Anupong Paochinda, General Boonsrang Niampradit, General Udomdej Sitabutr, Police General Patcharawat Wongsuwan, General Nat Inthacharoen, Police General Rewat Klin-aksorn, and Police General Sompong Chingduang. Members of the Palang Pracharath Party such as Mr. Santi Promphat, Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, Mr. Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn, Mr. Suradej Yasawat, Mr. Wanchalearm Yubamrung, and Mr. Pinij Jarusombat were also present to extend their best wishes.
