Ninh binh: UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Priority Africa and External Relations, Firmin Edouard Matoko, praised the northern province of Ninh Binh for its efforts in preserving and promoting the Trang An heritage site. During a meeting with Doan Minh Huan, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Matoko emphasized UNESCO’s commitment to supporting the locality in its heritage preservation endeavors.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Matoko’s visit to Vietnam, which runs from October 25-30, includes leading a UNESCO delegation to discuss heritage preservation. The official highlighted the importance of Ninh Binh’s dedication to maintaining the cultural and historical significance of Trang An, a recognized heritage site. Matoko assured that UNESCO would continue to work alongside the province to enhance and promote its heritage values.
