Upper Thailand Experiences Rising Temperatures Amid Morning Fog.

Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has announced that the upper regions of Thailand will experience a rise in temperatures accompanied by morning fog, while the North and Northeast will continue to experience cool weather during the early hours.

According to Thai News Agency, a weather forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that the high-pressure area or moderate cold air mass currently over the upper part of Thailand and the South China Sea is weakening. This shift will lead to increased temperatures and morning fog in these areas. Despite this change, the northern and northeastern regions are expected to maintain cool morning temperatures. Residents in the upper parts of Thailand are advised to take precautions for their health due to the changing weather conditions and exercise caution when traveling in foggy areas.

The northeast monsoon affecting the Gulf of Thailand and the South remains moderate to strong, resulting in heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of the lower South. Residents in these
regions are cautioned to be vigilant against flash floods and forest runoff, particularly on hillsides near waterways and low-lying areas. The lower Gulf of Thailand will experience waves approximately 2 meters high, while in the upper Gulf, waves will range from 1 to 2 meters, and in the Andaman Sea, waves will be around 1 meter high. Offshore, waves are expected to be between 1 and 2 meters, with areas affected by thunderstorms experiencing waves higher than 2 meters. Sailors are advised to navigate with caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms.

Dust levels in upper Thailand remain low due to moderate winds and good ventilation, reducing the accumulation of dust and smog in these areas.

The regional weather forecast highlights include Bangkok and its surrounding areas experiencing morning fog with slightly higher temperatures ranging from a minimum of 24-25 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 32-34 degrees Celsius. The northern region will have cool weather with some morning fog, with temperatures rising sl
ightly. The northeastern region will also have cool weather with temperatures slightly increasing, and on mountaintops, the weather will be cool to cold. The central region will see some morning fog with slightly higher temperatures. The eastern region will have morning fog with a slight temperature rise and some light rain. In the southern region, both the east and west coasts will experience thunderstorms with some areas receiving heavy to very heavy rainfall.
