Bangkok: The three-syllable comedian has not yet provided a statement to the police, who are urgently investigating “Tid Alongkot” in prison. “Big Tao” has urged the investigative team to question “Tid Alongkot” in prison, revealing that the comedian has yet to give a statement to the police.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat Pankaew, Deputy Commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau, commented on the progress of the prosecution of Tid Alongkot, the former abbot of Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu. He stated that after the meeting, an investigation was expedited in Tid Alongkot’s prison, as he would be able to clarify all the facts. He also urged the investigation of relevant officials, various foundations, and those involved with temple assets. This process is currently underway.
Regarding the case of the three-syllable comedian who is linked to the temple, investigators are currently working quickly. He was involved during a time when the temple was struggling and provided assistance in various areas, leading to suspicions. Furthermore, he has not yet provided any clarification to the police.
When asked if police have yet traced Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu’s assets to anyone, Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat stated that there are numerous facts in this matter. However, there are still several issues that remain questionable based on the seized evidence, which he believes are likely connected. For example, the hotel has used temple funds for room maintenance, but it is not yet known how much of the temple’s funds went into it. This is one of 24 points of questioning raised by investigators.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat stated that some issues have now been clarified and charges can be filed against Tid Alongkot. However, further questioning of those involved is currently underway.
