Bogor, West Java The Bogor City Education Office will collect vaccine certificates of teachers and school staff to review vaccination coverage among teachers prior to reopening schools with full capacity in the city, an official stated.
“The Education Office will also coordinate with the municipal Health Office to reschedule vaccination for teachers for around 10 percent of the unvaccinated teaching staff,” Education Office head Hanafi noted in Bogor on Saturday.
The official reiterated the need to fulfil the requirement of 100-percent vaccination coverage among teachers in the city before the authority could reopen schools with 100-percent capacity.
Unvaccinated teachers must promptly get their vaccine dose, he remarked while warning that those objecting to receiving the vaccine dose without a valid medical exemption will be penalised.
Drawing reference to the ministerial decision, Hanafi noted that schools in Bogor City had fulfilled the requirements of a minimum of 80-percent vaccination coverage among teachers and school staff to reopen the school with full capacity.
