Vietnam and Australia Discuss Strengthening Economic Ties at Fourth Partnership Meeting in Adelaide

Adelaide: Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell co-chaired the fourth Australia-Vietnam Economic Partnership Meeting on October 17, focusing on enhancing the bilateral economic relationship following the elevation of their ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership earlier this year.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to deepen economic cooperation. It occurred within the framework established during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to Australia in March, where Vietnam and Australia agreed to upgrade their relationship, signaling a significant intensification of their mutual engagements.

The discussion aimed at exploring new avenues for collaboration across various sectors, including trade, investment, and tourism, which are pivotal for the economic growth of both countries. The ministers also reviewed the progress of ongoing projects and agreements that
have been set in motion since their last meeting, ensuring that both parties are aligned in their strategies and objectives.

This fourth meeting not only highlights the strong diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia but also sets a positive precedent for future economic collaboration, which is expected to bring mutual benefits to both countries in the coming years.
