Singapore: Vietnam and Singapore have formalized an agreement to enhance cooperation in legal matters, signing the Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters. The treaty was signed at the Singapore Ministry of Law by Singapore’s Minister of State for Law and Transport, Murali Pillai SC, and Vietnam’s Prosecutor-General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, Nguyen Huy Tien.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the treaty aims to strengthen collaboration between the two nations in combating crime and ensuring justice through mutual legal assistance. This agreement is expected to facilitate the exchange of information and evidence, as well as the execution of legal processes in criminal matters between Vietnam and Singapore. The signing underscores a commitment by both countries to address cross-border criminal issues and enhance legal cooperation.
