BANGKOK: A conference aimed at enhancing the logistics collaboration between Vietnam and Thailand was convened in Bangkok on October 29. The event was organized by the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (VALOMA) and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). It brought together representatives from both nations, including nearly 30 Vietnamese universities, colleges, and VALOMA member businesses, as well as 32 Thai companies involved in various sectors such as warehouse, transport, shipbuilding, logistics tech solutions, packaging, garments, oil, and logistics real estate.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the conference served as a platform for stakeholders from both countries to explore new avenues for cooperation and address challenges in the logistics sector. The emphasis was on fostering mutual growth and enhancing the efficiency of logistics operations, which are crucial for economic development. Participants discussed innovative logistics tech solutions and shared insights on best
practices in the industry.
The collaboration between Vietnam and Thailand in the logistics sector is expected to bolster economic ties and improve supply chain management between the two countries. The involvement of educational institutions also highlighted the importance of developing skilled human resources to meet the growing demands of the logistics industry.
