Brussels: The 245th/246th Sessions of the World Custom Organisation (WCO)’s Permanent Technical Committee (PTC) has taken place in Brussels, the first of its kind under Vietnam’s current chairmanship. The event was chaired by Nguyen Thi Vinh Hoai, Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium and Representative of Vietnam Customs to the WCO, gathering more than 300 delegates from WCO members, international organisations, the private sector, and research institutes.
According to Vietnam News Agency, this significant gathering marks an important milestone as Vietnam takes the helm of the WCO’s Permanent Technical Committee. The sessions provided a platform for discussions and exchanges on various technical issues related to customs operations and policies. The attendance of over 300 delegates highlights the global interest and dedication to improving international customs standards and practices.
