Vietnam Fatherland Front Inaugurates 10th National Congress in Hanoi


Hanoi: The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) commenced its 10th National Congress on October 16, initiating the first working session of a critical meeting set to outline the future path for the organization for the 2024-2029 tenure. The congress, carrying the theme “Solidarity-Democracy-Innovation-Creativity Development,” has assembled 1,052 delegates from diverse backgrounds, including various classes, ethnic groups, religions, armed forces, overseas Vietnamese, and VFF officials from all levels.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the three-day event is dedicated to evaluating the accomplishments of the VFF’s previous term, by reviewing the implementation of the resolution passed during the 9th National Congress for the 2019-2024 tenure. The congress aims to set new directions, goals, and action plans for advancing the organization’s agenda over the next five years. Key activities include scrutinizing the working reports from the VFF Central Committee, the Presidium, and the Standing Board of the VFF Central C
ommittee for the previous term. Additionally, there will be discussions on a proposal to amend and supplement the VFF Charter and to approve these amendments.
