Hanoi – Vietnamese athletes added two more gold medals to their tally at the 14th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships and Congress in Wonju, South Korea, from November 9-11. Tran Hoang Duy Thuan and Bui Thi Thoa won gold in the mixed pairs category, with fellow Vietnamese athletes Quoc Vuong and Cam Tu taking the bronze in the same category.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Pham Van Phuoc clinched another gold for Vietnam in the Men’s Athletic Physique up to 160 cm category. These victories add to Vietnam’s impressive performance at the Championships, where renowned bodybuilder Pham Van Mach earlier won gold in the men’s 55kg category, marking his sixth world championship in this division.
Vietnam’s other gold medals were won by Tran Bao Quoc Vuong in the men’s 65kg category, Ho Huy Binh in the men’s 70kg division, and Dinh Kim Loan and Nguyen Thi Kim Dung in the women’s 55kg category and women’s fitness category, respectively.
