Vietnamese culture popularised in Singapore

The Vietnamese community in Singapore attended the Racial Harmony Day celebrations recently held by the host nation’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM). They brought to the event the homeland’s staples, traditional conical leaf hats, Ao dai (traditional long dress), and cultural art performances. The day is an annual event marked in Singapore on July 21 to commemorate the communal riots of 1964, and promote the harmony and cultural understanding among different ethnic groups.
