Vietnamese Peacekeepers Celebrate Successful UN Mission Completion


Hanoi: The Ministry of National Defence hosted a teleconference to evaluate the accomplishments of Engineering Unit Rotation 2 and Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 5 in their recent United Nations peacekeeping missions. The meeting connected participants from the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations in Hanoi and Military Hospital 175 in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the review session focused on the contributions and experiences of the Vietnamese peacekeeping forces during their deployment. The event highlighted the strategic and operational successes of the two rotations, underscoring their impact on international peacekeeping efforts.

The teleconference also served as a platform for discussing future improvements in peacekeeping operations and the potential for increased involvement in UN missions. The Ministry of National Defence emphasized the importance of these missions in enhancing Vietnam’s role on the global stage and contributing to international security and peace.
