Da Nang: National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized the importance of great national unity as a strategic guideline and the foundation of Vietnam’s strength, crucial for the success of the Vietnamese revolution in the process of national construction and development. Chairman Hue made these remarks while attending the great national unity festival in residential area No.10 in Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang, on November 11.
According to Vietnam News Agency, During the event, Chairman Hue expressed gratitude to the local people for their support and cooperation with the city in implementing various Party and State policies. He specifically acknowledged their contribution to the Lien Chieu port project, which is poised to become an international gateway connecting the central coastal region to the world. To honor local contributions, Chairman Hue presented gifts to 20 social welfare beneficiary families and those recognized as outstanding cultural families.
Furthermore, the National Assembly Chairman witnessed the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) donating 5 billion VND (approximately 205,550 USD) to fund the construction of 100 charity houses in the locality. Earlier, he inspected the progress of the Lien Chieu port project and presented gifts to workers on the site.
The Lien Chieu port project, covering an area of 450 hectares with a total investment of over 3.42 trillion VND, commenced in December 2022. The project, expected to be completed by November 2025, signifies a significant development in Vietnam’s infrastructure and connectivity.
