Suan Dusit Poll reveals the results of a survey on vulnerable groups to the 10,000 baht handout policy, saying it helped stimulate the economy quite a bit. They want the government to issue policies to increase wages, create jobs, and create careers.

Suan Dusit Poll, Suan Dusit University, surveyed opinions on the policy of handing out 10,000 baht between October 1-4, 2024. The sample group was a vulnerable group who had already received the money, totaling 845 people (field survey). It was found that the financial status of the majority of the sample group was insufficient and had debts. 46.75 percent of the money received was used to buy food and other necessities. 47.00 percent thought that this policy helped alleviate the financial burden a lot. 57.75 percent helped stimulate the economy quite a bit. 53.61 percent believed that the government would be quite confident in solving the government’s economic problems. 50.65 percent wanted the government to have additional policies to help people, such as inc
reasing their monthly salary, creating jobs, and creating careers. 31.70 percent also believed that the policy of handing out 10,000 baht increased their liking for the Pheu Thai Party. 65.70 percent

Ms. Pornpan Buathong, president of Suan Dusit Poll, stated that the survey results indicated that the policy of handing out 10,000 baht helped alleviate the financial burden and stimulated the economy to some extent. Most of the money was used to buy food and necessities and pay off debts, with a small amount being invested further. Although it is seen that this policy helps the economy and increases confidence in the Pheu Thai government, the people still want to increase wages, employment, and create jobs, which will truly solve the people’s problems.
