Bangkok: Warawut Silpa-archa, the Minister of Social Development and Human Security and leader of the Chartthaipattana Party, confirmed that the party has secured an additional deputy minister position. However, the specific ministry for the new role is yet to be determined as the Prime Minister has not made a decision.
According to Thai News Agency, the newly acquired position is expected to be designated for a member of the Suphan Buri group, with Mr. Prasert Pothasuthon, a Suphan Buri MP and the party’s secretary, being a likely candidate. Alternatively, the position could go to a member of the ‘Sasomsap’ group from Nakhon Pathom. Mr. Varawut emphasized the need to await the Prime Minister’s decision before any internal discussions can take place regarding the allocation of the deputy ministerial role.
Mr. Varawut also reaffirmed his commitment to his current role as the Minister of Social Development and Human Security, indicating that he will continue to hold this position.
