Bangkok: Meteorological Department warns “North-Northeast” to prepare for heavy to very heavy rain in some areas, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff. The Meteorological Department reported that the North and Northeast will experience heavy to very heavy rain in some areas, the Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East will experience heavy rain in some areas, while the South will experience thunderstorms in some areas. People in the North, Chiang Rai and Nan provinces, and the Northeast should beware of the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. This is because the monsoon trough is passing through northern Myanmar and the northern part of the North into a low-pressure cell in northern Laos and northern Vietnam, along with the southwest monsoon blowing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand with moderate strength.
According to Thai News Agency, for waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, they are moderate. The upper Andaman Sea has waves 1-2 meters high, while the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand have waves approximately 1 meter high. In areas with thunderstorms, waves are higher than 2 meters. Sailors in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are advised to sail with caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
