Bangkok: “Wisut” has expressed his gratitude to the Pheu Thai MPs for their consistent participation in the quorum throughout the term, ensuring no issues with quorum failures, and elaborated on the new criteria for submitting separate questions for MPs.
According to Thai News Agency, the weekly meeting of the House of Representatives and political personnel of the Pheu Thai Party was led by Mr. Surawong Thienthong, Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party, Mr. Wisut Chainarun, Chairman of the Pheu Thai MPs, and Mr. Saran Thimsuwan, Secretary of the Government Whip. During the meeting, Mr. Saran informed the attendees about the change in the criteria for submitting separate questions. MPs are now permitted to submit separate questions to the House of Representatives at the General Administration and Contents Office at the Office of the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on business days, with the allowance of one question per round.
The registration of separate que
stions will follow the order of the Office of the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives. Previously, the lack of clear regulations led to multiple questions being submitted simultaneously. Consequently, additional regulations have been established to streamline the process.
Mr. Wisut further remarked that he anticipates the Pheu Thai Party MPs will comply with the new criteria for submitting separate questions. He expressed his gratitude to the MPs for their consistent participation in meetings without fail. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the new regulations for the collective benefit of all members, indicating that the upcoming session on October 30 would be crucial for ensuring completeness.
