Young Man from Bang Bua Thong Shot Dead After Arguing with Friend Over Rent

Bang Bua Thong: A young man from Bang Bua Thong had an argument about rent before being shot dead by his housemate who then rode a motorcycle to escape.

According to Thai News Agency, last night at around 12:20 AM, Bang Bua Thong police officers were notified of a shooting death. They contacted doctors from the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Ruamkatanyu Foundation officers to investigate. When they arrived at the scene in a village in Bang Rak Yai Subdistrict, Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province, they found the body of Mr. Adul Adee, nicknamed Golf, 30 years old, wearing a black shirt and long jeans, lying face down in a pool of blood near a dining table. He had been shot once in the right temple, exiting behind the right ear.

Mr. Phanungnet, 64, the caretaker of the house who was at the scene, said that the perpetrator, Mr. Somchai, 49, or Ang, was his brother-in-law and a close friend of the deceased. The deceased and the perpetrator lived in the same house (rented). Neither of them had a permanent job, but he had helped them all the time, including paying their rent. So he asked them to come to an agreement on what to do next. Mr. Golf, the deceased, came to see him and was drinking first, while Mr. Ang came later. They argued, so Mr. Ang grabbed his gun that was on a nearby table and shot Mr. Golf to death. It was a .38 revolver with a permit to carry, which he brought out and put on the table every day because he came to take care of the house for the businessman who had a koi pond worth tens of thousands of baht. After Mr. Ang shot Mr. Golf, he rode away on his motorcycle with the key still in it. He immediately called the police. He is currently tracking him down to take legal action.
