Lat phrao: A disturbing incident unfolded in the Lat Phrao area where a young man, reportedly under the influence of drugs, set fire to a house. The man, identified as Mr. Q, managed to escape with his child, avoiding potential tragedy.
According to Thai News Agency, residents of the area reported that Mr. Q, approximately 42 years old, had been causing disturbances ever since he rented their house about a year ago. Initially, he appeared to be working normally, but by the second month, his behavior changed as he began using drugs and inviting friends over frequently. The ensuing commotion led the residents to request his departure.
Two months after moving out, Mr. Q returned to create trouble, culminating in a shocking incident on October 7th. On that day, he threw a gallon of gasoline into the house, inadvertently dousing himself and his son. In a frantic bid for safety, he carried his son out before setting the house ablaze. The repeated nature of these incidents has left the neighbors in constant fear, with one resident expressing their frustration over the lack of police intervention due to jurisdictional issues.
Mr. Ekkapop Lueangprasert, the founder of the Sai Mai Must Survive Facebook page, has stepped in to assist. He plans to coordinate with Chokchai Police Station to address the situation. If the issue remains unresolved, there are concerns that it might escalate further. Mr. Ekkapop intends to push for a summons to be issued for Mr. Q, including a drug test, with potential charges for drug use should the test return positive.
