Accra: Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, has commended Zijin Golden Ridge Limited for its strong performance in Ghana. He described the company as an emerging giant poised to leave a lasting footprint on the country's mining sector and across Africa. Speaking at Zijin Golden Ridge Limited's End-of-Year Appreciation and Partnership Reception in Accra, the Minister expressed the government's confidence in the company's operations barely eight months after it commenced activities in Ghana.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Buah assured the company of continued support and cooperation of the Government of Ghana as it expanded its operations and deepened its investment in the country. The End-of-Year Reception brought together key government officials and industry leaders, including Mr Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Mr Samuel Amadu Basintale, the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service, Mr Simon Madjie, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), and Mr Tang Hong, the Chairman of the Ghana Association of Chinese Societies.

Mr Leon Zhang, the Chief Executive Officer of Zijin Golden Ridge Limited, reaffirmed the company's long-term commitment to Ghana and its intention to build high-quality, responsible mining projects in close partnership with government and local stakeholders. He emphasized that Zijin Mining Group's global success had been built on collaboration, innovation, and sustainability, principles the company was committed to advancing in Ghana.

Mr Zhang further acknowledged Ghana's strategic importance in Africa's mining landscape, describing the country as a natural partner for Zijin's expansion on the continent. The high-level reception served as both an appreciation of partnerships built in 2025 and a platform to reinforce Zijin Golden Ridge Limited's ambition to contribute meaningfully to Ghana's mining sector through operational excellence, responsible mining practices, and long-term socio-economic development.
