7 Thai Airlines Ready to Welcome Thais Back from Cambodia Amid Border Unrest

Bangkok: The Ministry of Transport spokesman confirmed that seven Thai airlines are ready to welcome Thais back from Cambodia. Currently, there are four airlines that already operate flights on the Bangkok-Cambodia route.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kritchanon Aiyapanya, Assistant Minister to the Ministry of Transport and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Transport, revealed that seven Thai commercial airlines met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss plans to support the travel of Thais in Cambodia who wish to return to Thailand due to the unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border.

All seven Thai airlines are ready to provide full cooperation. Currently, four airlines are already operating flights on the Bangkok-Cambodia route: Thai Airways with 16 flights per week, each offering 180 seats; Thai AirAsia with 28 flights per week, each offering 180 seats; Bangkok Airways with 40 flights per week, offering both 180 and 70 seats per flight; and Thai Vietjet with 16 flights per week, each offering 180 seats. Another three airlines-Thai Lion Air, Thai AirAsia X, and Nok Air-are prepared to fully support the travel to Thailand.

For the support approach, starting today, July 25, 2025, the number of seats will be increased to meet the needs of Thai people in Cambodia who want to travel back to Thailand. As for emergency measures, all parties have already prepared a contingency plan.
