Phichit: The abbot of Wat Tha Phikun has provided an explanation regarding the financial contributions of ‘Ms. K.’, who participated in the merit-making activities at the temple by transferring funds into the temple’s account.
According to Thai News Agency, Phra Athikarn Thepkamron Pasathiko, the abbot of Wat Tha Phikun, addressed the concerns raised about the financial transactions involving ‘Sika K.’ The abbot confirmed that Ms. K. had transferred a total of 16,000 baht to his account specifically to co-host three separate merit-making events at the temple.
The details of the contributions are as follows: Ms. K. donated 7,000 baht for a monk ordination ceremony held on August 9, 2022. Additionally, she contributed 4,000 baht towards hosting roti for the Dhammaduta event on August 25, 2022. Lastly, she provided 5,000 baht for 500 pure gold sheets used in the merit-making event commemorating the 11th anniversary of the death of Luang Pho Singh Nathalapho, scheduled for June 25-26, 2024.
The abbot’s clarification aims to ensure transparency and understanding regarding the financial transactions, affirming that the total amount contributed by Ms. K. for these events was indeed 16,000 baht.
